An introduction to the wonderful world of lino printmaking with the emphasis on experimentation and fun. In this 2 hour workshop, Helen will guide you through the process of designing, cutting and printing lino. You are welcome to bring images you would like to work from to make your design or you can take inspiration from the postcards, books and objects in the studio. By the end of the workshop you will have cut and printed at least one design. As well as taking home everything you have cut and printed, Helen will put your favourite from the prints you have made into a mount ready for you to frame at home. **please note that due to the sharp knives used for lino cut, this workshop is for 18+ only (14+ with a parent or guardian also booking the same workshop)** During the workshop students will learn to create a simple design suitable for a lino print transfer the design to the lino block cut the design into the block using lino cutting tools prepare the ink and apply it to the block print form the block with the barren (hand printing tool) and a printing press Workshop are run by Helen at her studio, Unit 14 Quex Craft Village, CT7 0BH. Free parking is available in Jungle Jim's which is adjacent to the craft village. All current government guidelines relating to covid 19 will be followed.
